1. Purpose
This Refund Policy explains when users of OneMatch may or may not be eligible for refunds for paid services, including the OneMatch Matchmaking service.
2. General Rule
All payments made for OneMatch services are considered payments for:
- Time
- Human expertise (Relationship Specialists)
- Matchmaking services
- Platform operation costs
Because matchmaking involves manual review, planning, and administrative work, refunds are limited.
3. Matchmaking Service Refunds
3.1 Before Matchwork Begins
A refund may be requested if:
- No questionnaire has been completed
- No Relationship Specialist has been assigned
- No matching work has started
In this case, a full refund may be approved (excluding processing fees where applicable).
3.2 After Work Has Started
Once any of the following has occurred:
- Questionnaire has been submitted
- Profile has been reviewed
- Compatibility analysis has begun
- A Relationship Specialist has been assigned
You may no longer be eligible for a full refund. Partial refunds may be considered depending on the level of work completed.
3.3 After a Match Has Been Delivered
Once a match has been delivered or introduced:
- Refunds are generally not available
- This includes situations where users do not continue chatting or choose not to proceed
Matchmaking services are considered delivered at the point of introduction.
3.4 After a Date Has Been Planned or Completed
If OneMatch has:
- Planned a date
- Booked a venue or experience
- Coordinated with partners
Refunds are not available due to costs already incurred.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will NOT be issued in cases of:
- Change of mind after service begins
- Lack of compatibility with a match
- Failure to continue conversations
- Ending a match voluntarily
- User violation of Terms or Community Guidelines
- Account suspension due to misconduct
5. Technical Issues
If a technical issue occurs (e.g. payment duplication or system error), OneMatch will investigate the issue, correct errors where applicable, and issue refunds where a verified system fault has occurred.
6. Fraud and Abuse
Refunds will be denied if:
- Fraudulent activity is detected
- The user violates platform rules
- The user attempts chargeback abuse
- Multiple refund requests are made in bad faith
OneMatch reserves the right to permanently ban accounts involved in refund abuse.
7. Chargebacks
Users agree not to initiate chargebacks without first contacting OneMatch support.
Unjustified chargebacks may result in:
- Account suspension
- Permanent ban
- Loss of access to services
- Legal or debt recovery action where applicable
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, users must contact OneMatch Support (via website contact form or official email).
Refund requests should include:
- Full name
- Email used on account
- Transaction details
- Reason for refund request
9. Processing Time
Approved refunds may take 5–10 business days depending on payment provider. Processing times may vary depending on financial institutions.
10. Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be granted based on:
- Work completed by Relationship Specialists
- Stage of matchmaking process
- Administrative costs already incurred
All partial refund decisions are final.
11. Discretion
All refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of OneMatch. We aim to be fair, reasonable, and transparent in all decisions.
