Community guidelines

The way we treat each other here.

These aren't rules for the sake of rules — they're what makes OneMatch feel different.

1. Purpose

OneMatch is built to help people form real, respectful, and meaningful relationships.

These Community Guidelines explain how users are expected to behave while using the platform.

Our goal is to maintain a safe, honest, and respectful environment for all members.

2. Core Principle

“Treat every person on OneMatch like a real human being — because they are.”

3. Respectful Behaviour

All users must treat others with respect at all times.

This includes:

  • Being polite and considerate in messages
  • Respecting boundaries and consent
  • Avoiding offensive, discriminatory, or harmful language
  • Accepting rejection without pressure or retaliation

Harassment, bullying, or intimidation is strictly prohibited.

4. Authenticity and Honesty

Users must be truthful at all times.

You must NOT:

  • Create fake profiles or impersonate others
  • Use misleading photos or stolen images
  • Misrepresent your age, identity, or intentions
  • Use AI-generated fake personas

OneMatch is a verified platform — authenticity is mandatory.

5. Profile Standards

All profiles must:

  • Contain at least 2 real photos of yourself
  • Represent your true appearance
  • Be appropriate and non-offensive
  • Avoid misleading filters or heavily altered images

We reserve the right to remove or reject any profile that does not meet standards.

6. Messaging Behaviour

When communicating with matches, users must:

  • Engage respectfully and naturally
  • Avoid spam or repetitive messaging
  • Avoid aggressive or sexual pressure
  • Respect pauses or slow responses

You may end a conversation at any time using platform tools such as “Close Our Chapter”.

7. Prohibited Content

The following content is not allowed on OneMatch:

  • Hate speech or discrimination of any kind
  • Harassment or threats
  • Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual content
  • Scams or fraudulent behaviour
  • Illegal activity or encouragement of illegal activity
  • Sharing of explicit or inappropriate content
  • Promotion of violence or self-harm

Violations may result in immediate account action.

8. Safety and Consent

Consent is central to OneMatch.

Users must:

  • Respect boundaries in conversations
  • Only proceed to dates when both parties agree
  • Never pressure another user into meeting
  • Respect decisions to pause or end communication

OneMatch prioritises emotional and physical safety above all else.

9. Fake Accounts and Security

We take fake accounts seriously.

We may remove or permanently ban accounts that:

  • Fail verification checks
  • Attempt to bypass identity verification
  • Use bots or automated tools
  • Are suspected of catfishing or impersonation

Verification is required to maintain trust across the platform.

10. Platform Integrity

Users must not attempt to:

  • Manipulate matching systems
  • Spam likes or matches
  • Exploit platform bugs or loopholes
  • Create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions

Any attempt to disrupt the system may result in suspension.

11. Dating and Real-World Interactions

OneMatch facilitates introductions, but users are responsible for their own real-world interactions.

Users must:

  • Meet in safe, public locations when attending dates
  • Follow safety guidelines provided by OneMatch
  • Use common sense when meeting others

OneMatch is not responsible for behaviour outside the platform.

12. Reporting Behaviour

Users are encouraged to report behaviour that violates these guidelines.

You may report:

  • Harassment or abuse
  • Fake profiles
  • Scams or suspicious behaviour
  • Unsafe or inappropriate messages
  • Any other concern

All reports are reviewed by trained staff.

13. Enforcement Actions

If a user violates these guidelines, OneMatch may take action including:

  • Warning
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent ban
  • Removal of content
  • Termination of access to services

Severe violations may result in immediate removal without warning.

14. Appeals

If you believe a decision was made in error, you may request a review.

Appeals will be assessed by the moderation or trust team.

Final decisions remain at the discretion of OneMatch.

15. Relationship Integrity

OneMatch encourages users to be intentional and respectful in relationships.

Users should:

  • Communicate honestly
  • Avoid ghosting where possible
  • Use platform tools to pause or end matches respectfully
  • Treat relationships as real human connections, not disposable interactions

16. Core Philosophy

“OneMatch exists to create meaningful connections, not endless swiping.”

17. Updates to Guidelines

We may update these guidelines from time to time.

Users will be notified of significant changes.

Continued use of OneMatch means acceptance of updated guidelines.
