Matchmaking Cycle Rules

How the OneMatch matchmaking cycle works, from payment to match delivery.

Version: 1.0

Effective date: 5 July 2026

1. Matchmaking Service Overview

The OneMatch Matchmaking Service is a paid, human-led relationship matching experience.

Users pay a $29.99 AUD fee to enter a structured matchmaking cycle managed by a Relationship Specialist.

Each cycle is designed to provide up to 2 curated, high-quality matches.

2. Matchmaking Payment

When a user purchases the $29.99 Matchmaking Cycle, they receive:

  • Human review of their profile and preferences
  • Compatibility analysis performed by a Relationship Specialist
  • Up to two curated matches per cycle
  • Private chat access with matched users
  • Full use of OneMatch communication features for each match

Each payment covers one complete matchmaking cycle.

3. Match Structure (Cycle System)

Each matchmaking cycle includes up to two matches total.

3.1 First Match (Primary Match)

A Relationship Specialist selects a compatible match based on user profile data.

Both users are manually introduced into a private chat.

Conversation begins under OneMatch platform rules.

The goal of this match is to determine genuine compatibility.

3.2 Second Match (Backup Match)

A second match is only provided if:

  • The first match does not result in mutual interest
  • Or one or both users choose to end the match due to lack of compatibility

If this occurs:

  • A second curated match is assigned
  • A new private chat is created
  • The matchmaking process continues

4. End of Matchmaking Cycle

A matchmaking cycle is considered complete when:

  • Both allocated matches (Match 1 and Match 2) have been used
  • Or the user has ended both matches without continuing forward

Once the cycle is complete, a new $29.99 Matchmaking Cycle must be purchased to receive additional curated matches.

5. Admin-Controlled Matching System

OneMatch Relationship Specialists have full authority to manually create matches.

Admins may:

  • Review user profiles and compatibility data
  • Select two users believed to be highly compatible
  • Manually introduce them into a shared private chat
  • Begin a structured matchmaking conversation

This system ensures matches are based on human judgement, not only automation.

6. Chat Rules for Matched Users

Once two users are introduced:

  • They enter an exclusive private chat
  • No additional matchmaking is active during the conversation

Standard OneMatch chat rules apply, including:

  • Pause option (maximum 7 days)
  • “Close Our Chapter” option to end the match
  • Respectful communication requirements

7. Match Quality Control

Each match is carefully curated to prioritise:

  • Compatibility
  • Shared values and lifestyle alignment
  • Long-term potential
  • Safety and verified authenticity

OneMatch focuses on quality matches rather than volume matching.

8. If a Match Does Not Work Out

If a match is not successful, users may:

  • Continue to second match (if available in cycle)
  • End the match using platform tools
  • Wait until a new matchmaking cycle begins

OneMatch does not guarantee romantic outcomes.

9. Restarting the Service

After completing a full matchmaking cycle, users may choose to:

  • Purchase another $29.99 matchmaking cycle
  • Switch to Discover mode (free matching system)
  • Pause or deactivate their account

Each new cycle begins fresh with new match evaluation.

10. Core Principle

“Each matchmaking cycle is a premium, human-led experience designed to create meaningful connections — not unlimited or automated matching.”
